Saving Stones is dedicated to the careful cleaning, restoration, and preservation of gravesite headstones and memorials. While we use industry-approved techniques and gentle cleaning solutions, please read the following disclaimers regarding our services:
1. No Guarantee of Full Restoration
Due to the age, material, and prior condition of a headstone, we cannot guarantee full restoration or the complete removal of staining, discoloration, or damage. Some stones may be too fragile to restore completely, and our goal is always to preserve rather than risk further deterioration.
2. Inherent Risks
While we take every precaution to safely clean and restore memorials, all restoration work involves some level of risk. Pre-existing cracks, weathering, and material weaknesses may cause unexpected chipping, breakage, or discoloration. By using our services, you acknowledge these risks and release Saving Stones from liability for unavoidable damages. On the rare occasion that any damage occurs, we will work closely with you to restore it to the best of our ability.
3. Permission & Ownership
It is the client’s responsibility to ensure they have the legal right or necessary permissions to request cleaning and restoration of a gravesite. Saving Stones is not responsible for disputes regarding ownership or maintenance rights.
4. Compliance with Cemetery Regulations
Many cemeteries have specific rules regarding monument cleaning and restoration. It is the client’s responsibility to check and confirm that our services comply with their cemetery’s regulations. Saving Stones is not liable for any conflicts arising from cemetery policies.
5. Weather & Environmental Impact
Natural elements such as rain, humidity, and temperature changes can affect restoration results. While we take steps to ensure long-lasting preservation, Saving Stones is not responsible for future weather-related wear or biological growth (such as moss, lichen, or mold) that may reoccur over time. However, the products that we utilize do work as a temporary preventative, which will allow for longer periods between cleanings.
6. No Legal or Historical Certification
Our restoration services are for preservation and aesthetic purposes only. We do not provide official historical, legal, or genealogical certifications regarding gravestones, their inscriptions, or ownership.
7. Limitation of Liability
By hiring Saving Stones, you agree that our liability is limited to the cost of the service provided. We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages related to our restoration work.
